You Got What?

Hey everyone! Merry Christmas. Happy New Year. Happy Kwanzaa. Happy Hanukkah.

Happy Holidays everyone! Even if you don't belong to any of these groups or celebrate all of them or just don't care, I hope everyone has a great time off for the holidays. You all deserve it :)
Now, regardless of the holiday I am sure that you all received some sort of present during this late time of the year and are giddy to start using and loving all your items.

It may be love, patience, companionship, friendship, stability, financial blessings...whichever they are, they are also considered great gifts.

I would love to know: what did you get for this holiday season?

In great holiday spirit I will share with you my best gift this Christmas: Soft Pajamas.

I knew that everyone raves about how awesome and traditional it is to receive soft pajamas that make every night almost a trip you want to take - but I never had that! So when I received this set from a lovely aunt, I was utterly surprised and happy. It's warm, comfortable and cute enough to wear around the house and out (as if) but I am in love. I have already decided that I will buy two more pairs when I get the chance. If interested, it is from Costco, a well known departmental store that has about everything (i.e BJ's) and I am pleased with my gift.

Ok, there's mine. WHAT DID YOU GET AND DO YOU LOVE IT???

Have a great day everyone.

Cheer up!

Let me start by being honest - i love the holidays but im not neccessarily in the cheerful spirit. So how do i remedy that? A good old movie.

Elf to be exact. Will Farrell playing an innocently gut wrenchingly funny elf in New York City will definitely at least have you engaged with Christmas.

I highly recommend it & will be watching as well! Have you ever seen it?! What movies help you cheer for this season?

Christmas Gifts?

Alright, so the holiday season has established itself this year since the end of Halloween and we've got about 8 days until Christmas and then about 11 until New Years Day.

So we cannot, and I mean cannot avoid the most dreaded / loved question of the biggest holiday during this season:

What do you want for Christmas?

While the answers will vary and probably cause someone in the family or social circle a massive headache, I will let you know what I want for this Christmas in typical winter upbeat spirit.

Touchscreen Winter Gloves.

I love to text and its cold, and I always end up putting my hands back into my coat to avoid frozen fingers. I'd love to get one pair that are leather and textable (is that a word?) I'll let it be.

These are from Banana Republic! I love them, would love to get these.

Instagram just exploded today with their #christmasshopping trend today and I have to tell you, none of them have shown the gloves that I would love to be gifted. Are any of the items you want posted there? Do you even have a list this time around? Let me know in the comments below.

None of these photos are mine, all from Google.

hellastorm or an actual storm?

Alright so today on Twitter there are two hashtags that pertain to the same same - a heavy wind and rain storm coming to the Bay Area in California that all residents are waiting for.

And what are the hashtags? #HellaStorm and #BayAreaStorm, this is my twitter feed today.

In New York City we just had our little #HellaStorm, with the last three days pertaining to heavy rain and flooding then a sprinkle of snow to top it all off. Although I know that California doesn't get what we receive so I won't judge. We get snowstorms and ours are strong, fierce and they don't go away so easily.

What's the worst storm you've been through? Let me know in the comments below and make sure to check out both hashtags on Twitter this morning.

Take a vacation

I am more than 100 percent that at some recent moment you've been day dreaming about taking a vacation somewhere in the tropics sitting under an umbrella enjoying the burning sun. And everyone agrees that it is indeed the best kind of vacation.

Except me.

I don't like summer. Ok before you judge harshly and critically,  let me explain:
I like summer, i like the sun, i like the warm, i love wearing sleeveless tops, sandals. But I don't love it. I am a fall winter girl. I work better, feel better, act better and AM a better person in this kind of weather.

Now with that said, believe it or not there are in fact vacations that exist solely for those want a winter wonderland escape. It's real, it's true and I'm going to show you some of the best spots in America to visit for a change in heart.

1. Park City, Utah.

Anywhere in Utah actually. Utah is known to have some of the best snow resorts with great adventurous activities that'll keep you occupied for bunch of fun. Dakota Mountain Lodge and Golden Door Spa is family friendly with snow tubing, ski lessons and the staple ice skating.

2. Thompsonville, Michigan.

Here's another state that nails the definition of winter. Michigan is known for its fierce long winters (note to self: visit soon.) Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa is one resort that's worth taking time to explore. If you get the chance there's a snowman search with a scavenger, snowshoe hikes and bonfires to keep warm.

3.  Stowe, Vermont.

We've mentioned one on the west coast, one midwest and here's your eastern coast one. Vermont is practically winter land and as a northern state, they know all about the cold sticking around. There's one called Trapp Family Lodge, named after the Von Trapp family, that's got unique activities that are called with snow. Some include maple syrup lessons, homemade cider and sing alongs during skiing make this resort almost go back to the 50's for some traditional fun.

Just try it. It won't hurt. Well, maybe. But if it does let me know seriously.

Where did this come from you say? Instagram is all about #tbtsummer at this moment, and if you don't believe me please check that hashtag out. Have you participated in #tbtsummer?

Flannel shirts - never a trend.

One of best things that are associated with chilly weather are flannel shirts. You can't go wrong: plaid is always stylish, comes in SO many colors and shades and they're cheap. No really, they are. From your local store to Nordstrom in all different materials you'll find the one exactly that you'll like.

The best part: they're not only for men. Kendall Jenner and Scott Disick prove so:

How good do both of them look in red flannel?

Even if you don't live in California, trust me flannel shirts can be one of your best pieces during the winter season. Grab a thick one and you're good to go.

Want to find an inexpensive one? Check out @FlannelShirts on Twitter for the best deals around your local area.
